It's only 10:22 pm and I have the biggest craving for a major snack attack to go up the street for my comfort food. I don't have a car and would have to walk. It's not that far really. It's only up the street by one city block. There is stuff here but just the thought of having that snack attack is so strong. I feel like having my Cheetos and cheese dip. Here's the only thing. I know it's cold out there. So the struggle becomes thus. Do I give in and deal with the cold on foot, or stay put to keep warm? Would you do it?

Give in! Haha!
But seriously, if you are just craving for cheetos and cheese dip and it is cold outside, I would just drink a glass of hot cocoa and munch on something at home.
If you are craving for something warm and hearty like a big juicy cheeseburger with crunchy bacon, melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella sticks, extra jalapeno, and chili fries-- then bundle up and start walking...

Yes, I do get snack attacks at night, lol. That is why I see that we are sorted...the worst is not to already have what you are craving. Although...getting cold is a small price to pay for the pleasure of getting a craving satiated.
Mind you, you could just exercise your discipline muscle...and wait. But nah, that is no fun. See that you have your store of cheetos on you for future reference, and the cheese dip.
If it were me, we would probably go out and get it.

Been there in a situation like that before. I know how hard it is if you are craving for something in the middle of the night. Ice cream is my midnight snack/comfort food/ sleep inducer before. There was a time when I had to walk 3 kilometers just to buy my precious ice cream during our vacation in a very remote area.

Snack attacks at midnight is normal snack to me and my big kids. We call it our early breakfast. hahaha
We have our cravings met at midnight, then ann hour or so at the computer again, then off to bed! Lunch is next mealtime.

I usually face this decision over cigarettes instead of snacks. I almost always cave and walk to the store.

You all have interesting answers! LOL
I don't keep hot cocoa. I should do that more often. Did you just describe Jack In The Box? LOL It sounds like it.
I never did go out to get it. I went to bed craving it. I still want them. Hopefully the craving will go away soon.

I was going to say, my midnight craving is something sweet. It has been known to be jam if it is bad enough!
Did you try drinking any water or warm milk to see if that would take the edge off?

If its me, I would not give in since I do not want to be cold outside.
Will just eat whatever is available inside or just drink a glass of milk.

I hate being cold so Cheetos and cheese dip are not really enough to get me out walking in the middle of the night. However, walking to get something like that here is a much bigger endeavor than just a city block. First, I have to get out of my subdivision which takes almost ten minutes on its own then walk somewhere to get the Cheetos - probably another ten minutes... Twenty minutes both ways and a ten minute stop off at the store... that's almost an hour for Cheetos!!!
But I've been in a major snack rut lately. I look around the grocery store for different things to buy and then just end up with the same thing which I'm sick of but just keep eating because it's handy. :/
