Overall Rating (out of 5):

Other features like group mode, beeps transmiting/receiving, power output, etc. are all easily modified, and work. Turns out not much, not the headphones, not the battery packs, not the charger, not the adapter and not even the antennas. Seems to work great up to about 2 miles, occasionally farther, but usually closer. They were easy to carry, easy to operate, and had very clear audio quality. So far, it works good at football field lengths around walls, and in stores, etc.

Product Pros:

  • Have only used them twice but are pleased with the reception, the hands free operation and the crystal clear signals.
  • In the thick forest, the maximum range is about a mile.
  • First of two sets of these radios that we purchased.

Product Cons:

  • The indicator would show full battery life and after a few minutes of usage, the battery low warning would flash.

Because of all the information we have seen, we think that you should acquire this product. The pros are more significant than the cons of a product such as Midland GXT1050VP4 36-Mile 50-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio. Our position is that it would be a good decision to buy this product.
